Tennessee’s football program has recently endured a span of decline and flux, from the traditions of storied Coach Fullmer to the stint of young punk Lane F#@king Kiffin, but the Vols are hopefully back on track under Butch Jones who looks to blend the old and the new for a future of success at Rocky Top.
Case in point – THIRD DOWN FOR WHAT?
Involving the Volunteer faithful and reinvigorating Neyland Stadium with a hip-hop vibe, Coach Jones encouraged the school to play Lil Jon’s “Turn Down For What” on defensive third downs with Vol Nation chanting and changing the lyrics to “Third Down For What” in 100,000+ intimidating voices. A new Rocky Top tradition.
Adding to the fun is that fact that Lil Jon himself supports the movement, shouting out via Twitter and loving the fact that his face even adorned The Rock on campus:
Get in on the fun with this original new design that plays off the artists, the rock, the slogan and your love of Volunteer football!
Like all National Fanthem, it's not an official shirt of any school, player, league or crunk rockin' artist, it's just a comical piece of original art from our imagination, inspired by popular culture and public figure, drawn by hand and rendered digitally as a lossless high-resolution vector graphic for superior printing. It comes on cotton pre-shrunk tees in sizes small through 5XL. Please note that Tennessee Orange shirts are available only in men's sizes small through 3XL, all other cuts/sizes will be printed on traditional orange tees.
